Ok--hey I'm 12 as well and I wouldn't shower her in complements, not that we don't like that it's just not a great idea for the START of a middle school relationship, which usually consists of large crowds on ';dates'; and shy girls.
Things you should do
-Look her in the eye, eye contact is key. Try and catch her eye from across the room or in the hall and smile at her, but don't wave.
-YOU come up to HER in the hall way, just say hey *insert name here* and catch up with her.
-and if she doesn't seem that into you which sadly is the case for some middle school bf/gf stuff, just let it go because al it gives you is drama.
-if she does seem into you ask her out after maybe a month of ';prep time'; while following the rules above

We're actually pretty mature at my school.
We don't ask how to flirt, because it's a natural thing.
If you want a girl to like you back be yourself.
What usually gets girls to like a guy is to hear that the guy likes them back from someone else.
They might be ';YES'; or ';Ew.';
Either way they'll always learn to consider it.
My friends and I are like that.
If you're not afraid of talking to her do this:
Act like you like want to get to know her.
Not just like you like her.
Doing that may cause the ';Ew.'; alarm to go off.
Be really sweet and she's ever in any trouble or need help, help her out.
it's not really flirting, it's kinda like treating each other even more kindly than before. It's being sweet!

12 year olds have an advantage to older teenagers i think, because you can still act silly and not be looked at as immature. You can tickle her, or take her pencil from her desk, you can leave little candies on her desk, or tap her on the shoulder when you walk by. Write her notes, just ones that say Hi, or whatcha doing.. even though you know what she is doing.. its cute. Anyhow have fun, laugh around her, be nice to her.
haha, that's cool. I'm in the 7th grade too. Some suggestions would be not to tease them - some girls like that, but some don't. It depends--is she shy, or is she out-going? It all depends on that. If she's outgoing, you can tease her , mess with her and stuff, but for shy girls , its hard to tell. We shy girls (i'm shy and a girl) don't really like to be messed with. You gotta be more sensative with us, go up and talk to us , but don't like make fun or anything.
just be really nice to her. and 7th grade is definitely NOT too young. do you know how crazy 7th graders are these days?? insanee. just smile at her a lot. just donttt creep on her. text her. and then start calling her. maybe tell one of your friends that you like her and if he spreads it around and it gets back to her she might like you too and tell one of her friends to tell you.

Hey look man. I remember when I was your age (it was like 5 years ago). anyway... I remember how people were asking each other out left and right, and the relationships lasted maybe a month tops. My suggestion is to hold off bro! look you have plenty of time! Also how lame is it that if you do go out with a girl that your mom drives you every where :P hahaha! eh i don't remember 7th grade...hmmm no one was that cute in 7th grade lol....at this age girls are really concerned about thier image/possie/fitting in i suppose...tell her she's pretty...make jokes..laugh..haha i would say wait till high school..but it seems like everyone is telling you your too young...your not... :D I just never remember liking someone at your age...lol that was like what 6 yrs ago...middle school sucks, but it can be better if you just be urself..even if you get turned down, just keep it real and move on to the next girl.
